If a suspicious growth is found in your mouth, Dr. Hildebrand will take a specimen of the suspect tissue.  This is called a biopsy. This procedure can be carried out quickly under local anesthetic and takes only a few minutes. The specimen is then analyzed in a laboratory to determine if there are infected or cancerous cells.  Dr. Hildebrand will inform you of your biopsy results and if any further action is required.
